I occasionally feel the urge to refactor and after I'm done, not much visible similarity to the original code is left (Lucifer was the main victim of that, I guess). Cool, I guess a bit of refactoring won't hurt ;) Did anyone design/plan a desireable structure ? Probably not - just asking if anyone...

I read up a lot of the forums concerning python and scripting after talking to philippeqc (thx for answering all my questions, philippe :)). @Z-man: About the python bindings: a) Should I try to combine the player//bot spawning and balancing in one space ? Method Proposal: RoundInit: calling Balance...

z-man wrote: Sure. A lot of my code uses it now, too. tList is quite special purpose anyway since it is invasive, and I'm thinking about deriving tString from std::string. Mmm, that may also be the perfect moment to switch to unicode internally. Cool, then I will try to finish my TODOs. z-man wrote:...

hi TTF Fonts would be cool for customization, but I guess those texture fonts are pretty fast, and users with slower machines prefer speed over nice fonts (I would). I experimented with that, and I got a working version using FTGL (Linux)... I did not fix the sizing issues, so the characters overlap...

Teamname Support ?
hi Good job guys... I just tested the 2.7.1 and I liked the lag/rubber improvements :) ..... I'd be happy to get some help and integrate my team name support into armagetron ad. There are a some problems that still have to be solved... (e.g. are older clients allowed to change their teamname ?) I am...

hi Well, the problem might not be visible in Armagetron's source code, but perhaps a simple method in the code just uses a different concept than on x86 architectures. For example if armagetron wants to receive a new packet from the network, it will ask the OS' socket for a new packet, but what happ...

hi tank wrote: That's correct. It'll be just like with previous versions. I hope armagetron ad will be compatible with the older versions for a long time :?, but I can understand if you at some point have to drop compatibility. hi I just want to say: I am sorry n54, Majination and subby :| I did never intent this to happen. I just wanted to express my concerns. My post was insulting and pretty offending... I posted without really thinking or proof reading it , and thus I wrote down those thoughts in an offending, ins...

@marrow: Ok ... you just have another opinion :D ... I am sorry, if you got me wrong, I did not want to downgrade your work. I just wanted to point out some issues I noticed. @n54: I do not mind marrow's opinion. I attached a complete diff between the latest armagetron.sf.net cvs and my changes... T...

hi Some people probably know about some of my minor program improvements, though those are not part of any cvs yet. I will post the corresponding diffs if I have the time to do it. I also had a quick look at the armagetron advanced (AA) cvs, and I am a bit confused by some of your changes ... :O :?:...
