Re: LADLE 36
Hey guys, I've only been back a week or two, having been away from the arma community for five months. Naturally as I was around yesterday, I played for SP like usual etc etc. Having found out after the ladle about all this mess, I'd quite to like to say it would be pretty unfair on the rest of SP (...

Re: Future ladles and Ladle 32 discussion
It's strange how people seem to have gone from the 'next best tactic will conquer' idea to 'this tactic is undefeatable, we have to change the game mode itself'! The 'step defense' is a solid defence yes, but it's not undefeatable at all, it's even possible to cut in a 1v1 situation with enough spee...

Re: Dealing with people who don't grind
Am I right in thinking there is a command to send players to a different server? I swear I saw it happen one time, though it could be my imagination. If it does exist, we could a do a /vote player to server. We could then direct the 'noob' to a specially made server which explains the basics of fort...

Re: Post-Ladle 30 Tactics Discussion
Players on the grid were describing SP's tactics in those ways. I was reporting on it. Are you all so naive that you don't think people thought that your tactics sucked balls? Naive? How about.. who cares? I haven't discussed how lame SP tactics were with anyone, and I don't think anyone really car...

Re: Post-Ladle 30 Tactics Discussion
I've heard them [SP] described as cheap, noobish, taboo, boring, annoying, safe, effective, and my personal favorite: numb. [SP are] overflowing with seemingly shameless pride I think their reactions indicate that they might feel a little ashamed SP's tactics are nothing special -- This topic was m...

Re: Post-Ladle 30 Tactics Discussion
If we have moved on from the anti-SP debate, then all I have to say is this - less talk, more play! It doesn't matter if you think insa's defence is nooby, or our attacking style has been boring (neither of which are true!). Read Concord's talk on fortress 2009, when arrow came along, we had a compl...

Re: Post-Ladle 30 Tactics Discussion
I think I can speak here without being too biased or guilty of the sins you've accussed SP (because I didn't play in either of the last two winning SP sides). My first feeling is, why does it matter if a player is particularly (or extremely) proud? It is a very ugly characteristic on any level, but ...

Chat vs Msg thought
I was wondering if it is possible to enable_chat 0, but be able to still read /msg 's ? It'd be nice to be able to block out the chat in those annoying matches, but still be able to receive messages from players. And please don't suggest silencing players individually, my query is whether you can di...
