Not necessarily. Your MMR could have been shit; but you haven't played enough to drop down on NA. Silver (NA) is the most chaotic tier ever. PSA: Your league doesn't determine the opponents you get matched with, your MMR (match making rating) does. I had a game where there was a diamond 5 player (0 lp) on my team. His MMR was low enough to put him with Gold players.

I have actually been higher than your current elo, and on a more competitive ladder. Remember, you're on EU West and I'm on NA. It's a completely different set of players you're dealing with.
