Re: The PM History
Durf's ban was the culmination of a lot of things on my part. Locked.

Re: UT4
I've seen the some of the videos before, I have to agree that it looks really good. I'm waiting a bit for it to get easier to run and maps more polished before I try it out. All hail DM-Deck... 18 at this point?

Only 16 spawn points in UT99 with a 32 player sever. Also squish.

albeit security testing is different NO IT IS NOT. The ONLY time a security test is acceptable is when it has been SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED. Any attempt that penetrates or attempts to penetrate seucurity when not requested IS HACKING. http://forums3.armagetronad.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&p=292327#p29...

Re: UT4
The double-dodge-jump though was only in 2k4. This let you move so fast through maps compared to just double-dodging because you get ground clearance and go flying. At the same time, if you use it wrong you're going in a straight line in mid-air and are easy to hit.

Re: UT4
Dual enforcers or the minigun for me in UT99. I'll have to admit being way more into UT2k4 though, that's the one I started playing seriously with. All hail instagib shock rifles. That and while UT99 is fast, the extra dodge combinations in 2k4 let you do amazing shit.

Re: UT4
Q3 lives on in the form of QuakeLive... UT lives on in the form of UT2k4, UT3, and now UT4. What was always particularly special about UT over Quake I think were better physics and qay more scriptability. Go double-dodge jump go!

Re: Moderator Abuse...again
From reading what I have (which isn't everything) I take these to be the relevant issues I need to sort out: Durf's original ban Explicit forum rules Moderator abuse by Lucifer Moderator abuse by Z-man Communicating with Durf I will take one try at sorting this out based on how I see the situation. ...

Re: Moderator Abuse...again
Durf, I know you may not consider your statements to be threatening, but I kind of do. I was hoping they were a misunderstanding, but I can't risk that they aren't. To be clear to everyone, any access to any part of these forums must be authorized. Authorized means that you have at the very least im...

Re: Server list loading gets stuck
I've seen this as well when I fired up the game yesterday. I seem to recall that the "Receiving servers" text skipped 100, going directly from 90 to 110.

Re: Official Servers
I'd like to point out that "rubber" is probably a difficult concept for a new player to grasp, particularly thanks to its somewhat misleading name. As players communicating with each other back in the 2004 era, it took us a good while to work out what it was and how it affected the game. W...

Re: Official Servers
Think of Armagoshdarn for normal game modes like Z-man's test server was for fortress game modes. That aside, I think I see what you're saying about the particular physics settings. My thoughts on that are that physics settings at that level will always feel a bit arbitrary. It's up to the server ad...
