Alright, I've played around with the texture of edd's model you linked me to Jolts and this is what it looks like so far. Going to experiment with "glow" as it looks in the trailer.

Das von dir gepostete Model hat ein komisches Format "ase.conf". Ich kann es so nicht testen, und einfaches umbenennen in "cycle.ase" hilft auch nicht.

Nice moviepack, it really captures the feel of the trailer. About the cycle, I've found that Edd's model here: http://forums3.armagetronad.net/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=2112 works really well with this. D'oh. Wish I would have found that by myself, thanks for pointing it out. I'll see what I can do ...

And another update. Changed the floor again, and I will leave it as it is for now until I get a better idea. The next thing on my to-do list is to modify the cycle texture with some glowing lines like in the upcoming movie. The pack now contains two different cycle models, the high detailed version ...

On the home page, the colour markers showing which Forums contain new post don't seem to be changing. They're now constantly red (save the few that haven't had new posts since the upgrade) I didn't go back more than 2-3 pages to see if this was pointed out already or not. Maybe this is just me? Könntest du die .ase des funktionierenden Models mal hochladen, so dass man die Textur testen kann? Ich würde einfach die Bereiche, die in der Farbe des Spielers erscheinen sollen, weiß oder hellgrau machen, so wird das zumindest bei den Bikewänden gehandhabt.

GIMP kostest nichts und kann (fast) alles. Ist am Anfang etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, weil alles und jedes ein separates Fenster bekommt, aber wenn man sich daran gewöhnt hat, erkennt man auch die Vorteile.

Next update, and I'm still not happy with the sky. I'm also going to try different floors, but the one in the trailer seemed to be simply black. I think I will release the source files for this, so others can bring in their ideas and play around with it.

I think edd made already a cycle that looks like the one from "TR2N", but I'm not sure if he released it as a model for the game.

First update, added two lines to the rim wall, so you can now see where it meets the floor and the sky.

Thanks for the feedback sine, glad you like it. I just played some rounds at CTWF and realized that all those small low walls are simply black and very hard to see. I think adding some kind of texture like it is done with the default rim or noise is a good idea to solve that.
