Swampland news and Faq's

I’m happy to announce a new addition to the Breakfast family, “Swampland Teams”. The server has gong through some growing pains in its way to becoming available for play, but I believe it's up to par now. The server is an AMD 64 3000+ box with 512mb ram, 7200 rpm hd and a shared broadband connection...

Server on Fedora, startup q's

I'm bringing a new ArmagetronAD 2.7.0 server online that's running on an AMD 64 machine that has Fedora 64 as it's OS. I installed the dedicated server binary's and it's working fine. I'd like to know if there's something that I can drop into the init.d folder so the service will start @ boot. I'd a...

I think adding SERVER_PORT to the cfg file did the trick. I tested it from a couple machines and it's showing up on the Master server. I added it to two files  just to make sure. I added that entry to settings_dedicated.cfg and settings.cfg. I'll try removing it from one of the files later and...

I didn't do the SERVER_PORT change. What
s the name of the config file that has that entry? Or does that line need to be manually added?

Yep, there's two machines sitting behind a Linksys router. One is swampland, which is up and running and in the list. A second machine, running Red Hat is loaded with ArmagetronAD_Dedicated 2.7.0 and it's also behind the same router. Both machines are set with static addresses and have the router se...

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong :( I have the master.srv replaced with a backup, so it's back to default again. I have IPtables turned off on the Linux machine and I have the range 4543 - 4550 allowed pointed to the internal address of the second machine. The server is started and still doesn't ap...

Multiple servers, one IP

I searched around and couldn't get my answer.. so I'm reaching out for help :) I have another machine that I wan't to bring online as an experimental machine. I say experimental because I don't know how good/bad it's going to be for the players yet. I have Swampland running on the default port to th...

Thanks for the heads-up. There's people playing on it now, so I guess it's working ok. I'll reboot the server during some down time and make sure it's back up to par.

Swampland went down last night (around 3am est) because we had a power outage in my area. I didn't check to see if the server was up before I left for work, but I brought it up when I got home. :P (I assume it was down since the outage. It might have came back up because the BIOS is set to do that. ...

That's right folks, there's a tournament being held on Swampland. This was put together by some people other than me, so I don't know all of the specifics of how it's going to be run yet. You can go here: (http://www.geocities.com/kelkiron/ ) to see the players and you can email kelkiron@yahoo.com t...

Well I did some resetting tonight because my ISP (Comcast cable) boosted our bandwidth up from 2.4 megabits per second to 4.6. I had to reset my cable modem to get the newer speed. Most users on tonight had pings under 100, so it made an improvement. I also rebooted the server and the memory usage d...
