My todo list and how it interacts with Armagetron
Ok, now that I've been out of rehab three weeks and looking honestly at my todo list, I thought I'd take a few minutes to post it here. A few words, though. :) All of my todo list is currently dedicated to establishing solid good mental health and staying sober. That doesn't move Armagetron to a bac...

Re: Should We Rebuild the Wiki?
Which mobile-friendly theme did you use? Also, you can get the wiki theme that I made for the new(er) mediawiki from launchpad: bzr branch lp:~armagetronad-web/armagetronad/themes I *think* it's mobile friendly, but I don't remember. I was hard-core drinking when I worked on it. I know the theme wor...

Dunno, probably. I hear you like FreeCiv , maybe help them out? I *am* interested in doing some Freeciv work. But the work I want to do is all stuff they won't accept, so it's more of using freeciv as a game engine for the game I want to play than enhancing freeciv by itself. There is some work I c...

Re: I'm back. Let's try this again, this time without the o
Welcome back! I hear there is some new website called gitcap or something with one or two open source projects, maybe you want to help there? Once you got a properly working computer, of course. Any good games over there? I'm kind of in the mood to do something with a game. I mean, I've already got...

I'm back. Let's try this again, this time without the oops.
I'm back from rehab, finally. It probably was a pretty good guess for some of y'all that I was doing *something*, heh. Anyway, I'm 93 or 94 days sober now, and looking to find something to do. And since service is part of recovery, I need to find something to do that's reasonably selfless, makes a l...

Heh, at least I'm in a safe place. Also, sober for around 50 days now. Current discharge date should be around February 16th.Word wrote:Hey Lucifer Sounds like you're doing OK given the circumstances?

Re: Bi-weekly
The real key is a wiki that works. Clearly, Z-man is busy enough that he just doesn't have the time right now to do what is necessary to turn the wiki over to Lucifer so he can fix it. I am setting up a temporary wiki just to organize meetups and tournaments. It won't be as pretty or do as much fun...

Re: A public letter to Z-man.
I stumbled across Tidelift , which is sorta promising. Obviously the name comes from the phrase "a rising tide lifts all ships". The idea is that people using open source software pay tidelift some money every month, and then tidelift distributes that money to all the software being used b...

Re: A public letter to Z-man.
May I suggest you actually ask Disney for money (or an actual job that includes developing Arma and nurturing the Tron franchise's fanbase) in return for saying into a camera how thankful we are or some other concessions of the kind you'd be willing to make? They could then present themselves as a ...

Re: A public letter to Z-man.
I get it, most of us come from capitalist countries. Logically, we want to find a way to make capitalism work for this game. Honestly, that's not going to happen. We've always been socialist, not by choice, but by reality. The only way we're going to make money in a capitalist world is if Disney sho...

Re: Upgrading the wiki
Just checking on how things are going, Lucifer. There is some interest in more tournaments and I would like to capitalize on that to try to get people actually playing the game again. I have some servers up on VPS's that have Anti-DDOS protection, so things can go smoother. I just await the wiki wo...
