Re: The Potato

Trontimes repo is down :x, just updated it to work again with the armagetronad.net repo.
Also do check out the "sumo" map. ;-)

Re: iD Student / iD Tech

OP is a fake. The screenshot in his first post is from my server, so I could easily look up who made it. The screenie in the OP was definitely created with instant chats. The IP in the text there has never joined my server and as far as I know IPs are only given out to mods, which the screenie maker...

Re: COCKpit Settings Gone Wrong

It definitely worked for me on my client and I can open the URL in a browser without a problem. I'm not sure what the first few messages mean, but from the <html> and <body> tags it looks like it's trying to digest a HTML file - probably a "404 not found" web page from earlier failed attempts. Try g...

Re: The Potato

The sumo games in the Potato Salad have been improved by moving them into a ring of fire.

Code: Select all

MAP_FILE vov/arena/RingOfFire-1.0.aamap.xml
MAP_FILE vov/sumo/RingOfFire-1.0.aamap.xml
*Edited cause trontimes is down - maps now on main repo*

Re: COCKpit Settings Gone Wrong

The first one is the cockpit not being found. Apparently it's on neither of the configured places to look. Someone else had that problem with the exact same cockpit file though and Magi and me had put it online again. Pasting the following into your console will try to load it from trontimes.tk wher...

Re: COCKpit Settings Gone Wrong

To change it back to standard it would be COCKPIT_FILE Anonymous/standard-0.0.1.aacockpit.xml There's a list on the wiki for different cockpits as well if you want another one: http://wiki.armagetronad.org/index.php?title=Cockpits_List Is it one of those that doesn't work, or is it your own / a down...

Re: Help adding help topic

Having tested it on my server after performing the changes of r755 (removing the lines from the "old" help command), it seems to work without a problem.
As for its syntax, what just worked for me: ADD_HELP_TOPIC test "This is a test" "Text Text Text Text Text\nText Text Text"

Re: Help adding help topic

Having had a quick look at the code, it seems to be like this: In r755 , Z-Man fixed it, while in r767 kyle added it back in again. Not sure if there was a bug with it or (what I suspect) an oopsie. If you can compile your server yourself; remove the lines of code as done in r755 (link above), then ...

Re: Help adding help topic

On sty+ct servers, /help seems to be broken. That's probably it. I'll have a quick search if there's a way to fix it. Edit: In this thread Z-Man apparently fixed it in sty+ct r755 but it seems to be back again. On my sty+ct r786 server it does what's described in the old thread: It's not exactly bro...

Good point, I thought from other posts that it used the setting (and I &"§%ing like tunneling :p). Scrap it. :-)

Re: ..D.o.g.F.i.g.h.t.. Settings

Actually, when I was trying to do this I had to use two commands CYCLE_RUBBER_MINDISTANCE 0.4 CYCLE_RUBBER_MINDISTANCE_GAP 0.2 Yeah, those look nice, I'd use those. :-) _mindistance_gap is a ratio so it should work the same with any _mindistance, though it should graphically look a lot nicer with _...

Re: ..D.o.g.F.i.g.h.t.. Settings

I'm not sure about the more detailed settings (mostly the rubber ones) but you can probably get reasonably close physics to what common "loose dogfight" servers use with these: cycle_delay .03 cycle_speed 18 cycle_accel 5 cycle_brake 20 cycle_brake_deplete 0 cycle_rubber_mindistance_gap .4 Last time...
