Re: iMac vs Apple TV

Is there any reason you (and Phyto) are simply dismissing other OS/builds? I personally wouldn't consider macs, but only because they are expensive (student budget woo). If they were the cheapest thing on the market I definately would. Considering there is more customisation with Windows than mac, a...

Well goal line technology isn't for offsides, so the goal would have counted and the offside wouldn't, and the English fans would be up in arms.

Re: Fort and Sumo Time Change

How about a different, Saturday Fort tournament instead? It can be pick-up settings or something like that. We don't really need MORE tournaments. Ladle is one of the few actually worth winning (for those of us who haven't won one yet ;) ). While I can sympathise with you noodles, I can't see some ...

Re: Help with English

INW: but I'm going to go in London next week doesn't change the "I'm"? Go to London, not go in. And I think that you've used an unfortunate example, as " going + infinitive " can be used for future tense. For example: I'm going to feed the ducks I'm going to lie down. In this case, the infinitive i...

Re: Homosexuality is a Choice(Not!)

Well according to Wikipedia (the worst place to get information, and yes I should stop going there) there is no mention of similarities or differences. INW: you are interpreting all three as titles of the areas, which is not the case: While sine probably did intend for each of the circles to be enti...

Re: Homosexuality is a Choice(Not!)

http://www.ndstudies.org/images/venn-modified.gif This is the sort of Venn diagram you'd need to portray homosexuals, tron players and heterosexuals (respectively). It even leaves out asexuals (anything inside the box, but outside the circles). Edit: Sorry you'll have to follow the link since its a...

Re: Help with English

Since native english speakers rarely learn the name of the actual tense they're learning (i.e. "going to" or present continuous") could I suggest you give a few examples of what you mean by each of these? And in this situation, some people might even say "I'm going to go to London next weekend", tho...

Re: Homosexuality is a Choice(Not!)

Oh yeah, I remember that now. So if it's not your genes, it's your mother's genes changing your sexuality before you're born. I'd still call that "nature" instead of "nurture," and I think nurture is what's implied when the environmental factor argument is used. Her "genes" aren't changing, its a b...
