When you qualify for series, it doesn't say how much LP you gained.

By gaining 1 LP from your final game.

No, you earn 0 LP. Riot said this is one of the things they are going to change about the League system because of cases like this. Earning 0 LP from a victory, while losing LP for a defeat is extremely frustrating and confusing.

But you still have no idea what their MMR is, or his projected chances of winning. The teams may not have been even.

You don't win decimals of LP. You get 0.

Actually, his MMR is too low for Diamond 5. If his MMR was higher than Diamond 5, he would be put in promos.
