Re: SBT 7/7/19

I've uploaded the recordings here:
https://armagetron.kevinh.us/aa/recs/sbt/12/

*.aarec files:
Standard Armagetron Advanced recordings, recorded with 0.2.8.3.4.

*.tar.gz and *.zip
Compressed form of all *.aarecs in this directory. You would only need to download one of these.

Re: Melodious Tron (Concertron)

Though, should this be a highly desirable idea (people want more of it), then we can see about getting it hosted on something a little better (in the hopes that songs will play better). Better late than never? I've put this server back up, however it's on a much better connection than it was back i...

Re: Fondest Tron Memories

Like the input on this thread. While this game certainly has it's known notable personalities like those stated above my nostalgic memories revolved around a few more obscure servers and their communities. Micro Bus City, Fallin Angels, and XzL had interesting crowds that were short lived and gone ...

Re: Armagetron ON Steam (2019) with steam direct

before the devs allow tron to be uploaded to steam It's an open source game, released under the General Public License. You don't need our permission, as long as you comply with the GPL. I think I would prefer if one of the active developers upload Armagetron to steam rather than some random guy wh...

Re: Yet Another Online Server Browser

Recently I've set up a version of this server browser using epsy's code on kevin's website, modified to use light's server feed: https://armagetron.kevinh.us/online/ . It has a few issues: Servers seem to disappear after a while. I don't remember this happening on the original version? The refreshin...

There's an M-Fort server up once again if you're interested. Automated fort, basically.

Re: And now we have git.

The old way of cloning the repository was very non-intuitive for an outsider, and to be honest I don't even think I could do it in less than 10 minutes today . SVN/bzr/whatever it was just didn't feel very user-friendly to me and it was intimidating. Now that it's hosted on GitHub, something I am f...

I assume so. On 0.4 when you run configure you can do --disable-sdl2 --enable-sdl1

Re: Sound irregularities, 0.4

Can you try compiling with SDL1 instead of SDL2? I don't remember if that helped, but it might.

Re: Sound irregularities, 0.4

I'm not sure whether I have sound issues quite as severe as yours, but there was a strange high pitched noise that came in and out which doesn't seem to happen on a different cyclrun file (from a moviepack from tr2n origins). I haven't investigated further, I usually just mute sound anyway. It might...

Ladle 111?

What? Come on, you didn't really think Ladle 110 was the final ladle, did you?

We would just need to decide on a date.

PS: Since we probably wouldn't be able to hold a Ladle monthly anymore, how about we make Ladles an annual thing for now?

Brackets
Also, if anybody cares, we are (or at least I am) intending on recording the JTST.

This is the first sumo tourney in about 4 years, and now there's another thread about a potential CTF tourney...exciting stuff!

Sorry, my fault, there was nothing on the corresponding template pages. You should be able to sign up now under the subheading "Teams" now.

JTST 1

We will run a tournament called JTST based on JJ87 's sumo settings. The settings as of now are similar to JJ87 but with 2 teams of 2 players each (2v2). Sign your teams up. If there isn't any support for this, it probably wont happen. However, I would like to see more activity within tron, and the ...
