You know that port 999 is a well- known port and shouldn't be used in custom apps? Great, now you even have to run the server with root rights to be able to open port 999! I think windows(tm) doesn't have the <1024 port restriction.... :) haven't tried it though..... i dont think i ever used window...

thanks. upon reading the log entry, i got a little worried, cause i though you tested spaces as begginings of a word, and that would kinda defeat the purpose of the whole thing. but i guess testing for non-alphanumerics is ok, noone would try completing a name from the middle anyway. all in a...

My attempt at hacking tab completion

I made this a few weeks ago, when i became annoyed with poeple wearing clantags in front of their names, thereby disrupting my attempts to tab-complete them. I just altered the code a bit to match substrings, and not just prefixes. I didnt want to post it at first since i didnt see anyone using tab-...

Re: make[3]: *** No rule to make target `armagetronad_main'

You can try fixing it by running ./configure again, but the safest bet would be to download the sources again, extract th...

Probably nothing iomportant, but...

I think the attached image says it all.... Got it two times now. I was playing on bugfarm with latest svn sources when server restarted.
Looks like a null-termination thing to me, but I guess you can determine better what it is.

Re: Shell scritping trouble: server running script

Just my 2 cents: Why scripting it ? you can just make a program for it. something along the lines of: printf("%d\n",getpid()); for(;;) { pid_t a=fork(); if(a) { printf("%d\n",a); wait(); } else execve("armagetronad-dedicated",...); } or maybe you have thought of this already and have a reason for no...

so what difference if the best teams meet in the final or the quarters? Well the diff is that if they meet in quarterfinals the defeated team gets 5th-8th place, instead of 2nd which it (perhaps) deserves. But all that isn't so important now.... i think we should just play the games asap because pe...
