Re: Pickup: Destroying fort since 2010!
I think what Titan said could help, because the only thing that really concerns me about pickup is what he said - people wait in G5's, you join because you want to play some games and suddenly most of them leave to play a pickup. That's just frustrating and annoying. Other than that, I don't care ab...

Re: Fort Cafe Tournament 2
This sweepbox must have been pretty good to produce this much self indulgent frustrated moaning It was. But it also showed some weaknesses. If the center dies at the start, it's pretty much impossible to set it up properly. And of course it is hard to actually kill attackers with this strategy (alt...

Re: Fort Cafe Tournament 2
Totally agree with you Gonzap, during this tourney I imagined two teams who were both circling their zone without any attack at all. This does not mean that it was a bad tournament per se, but it just was not much fun to play.

Re: Turn shuffle up on G5's Mega Fortress Pro back on?
System works well as it is now and I really do not want those annoying shuffle discussions during a game, so I voted no.

Re: 3rd & 4th Place in Competitions
We tried that in the past iirc and it did not work very well for the reasons already stated. Most players just do not want to play another match after losing and most players do not care about 2nd, so why should they care about 3rd?

Re: Ladle 45 Voting Discussion
I say no exceptions, just have it every first sunday of a month. No need for future date votings or discussion.

Re: Ladle 45 Voting Discussion
I don't think we need to vote for a date here either - first sunday of the months as always. The only thing I did not like last ladle was the huge delay of the final.

Using a framework can speed up things a lot if you know how to adapt it to your needs. I got used to http://www.960.gs and I like it a lot (although I do not use it for every site).

Breaking the Grid
I know that this does not fit here exactly because it does not change the look of the game at all (although you could use it as a title screen). Nevertheless, I want to share it with you - I stumbled across a tutorial on creating an exploded head with Cinema4D and boost it up with Photoshop. While r...

Re: Armagetron Basic Training
I think it is a great idea - videos can explain a lot of things easier than a text can. However, Video Tutorials have their disadvantages as well - for example if you are looking for a specific thing, you have no other option other than scrolling through the video until you find what you are looking...

Re: LADLE 36
Good post sine. In my opinion, SP just cut off their nose - if they win, people will say it was because they abused the rules. Nevertheless, all of this just took out a lot of fun of the tournament and I fear that people will remind this ladle because their was drama and not because XYZ won it.

Re: LADLE 36
Another example that we may need precise guidelines - at least for me it is not really clear what is allowed when editing the challenge board and what is not. More important at the moment, what do we do now? The logical step for me would be, that the teams get changed back as to what they were befor...

Re: League of Fort Clans
Has anyone else ever used ClanBase? They have a good ladder leauge system, as well as a way for clans (teams here) to schedule matches according to the available members of both teams. Same with then reporting the end of match score for adjusting the ladder. Used it once for a short league, went pr...
