Re: Looking for a native English speaker
I had the same problem on Windows, I could connect like 1 out of every 10 tries. It was a runtime error caused by referencing an invalid/corrupt memory location (something like that). I tried a lot of things, but strangely it resolved itself after a few months.

Re: Audio Encoding
Sinewav, I was looking forward to your input, and thank you for your detailed response. I was unaware of the lack of extent, the CBR vs. VBR argument goes. If I understand you correctly, VBR basically exists to reduce file size and won't have a noticeable impact on quality. I primarily listen to mus...

Re: Audio Encoding
Haha yes, to say it more clearly, I mean all other things being equal, I would rather have smaller sized files than larger ones. However, there is so much mixed information on the quality of VBR vs CBR, I'm not sure what's what. One would think that 320kbps CBR would be the best possible quality, bu...

Audio Encoding
Hey, tronners! I have a situation where I need to redo my entire music library. If anyone out there is an audio expert or knows a thing or two about audio encoding, I have a few questions as I go through this daunting process. I should preface my questions by saying that I am mostly concerned with g...

Re: Car problems
I'm not sure about the EGR valve code. You need to reset the computer and see what comes back. I'm almost certain your fuel pump is on it's way out. One of these days your car isn't going to start, or worse stall when you're stopped at a light. I'm surprised your not getting a (P0420) cat code, you'...

For whatever reason I don't take his speech literally or seriously. I think he does what he does to encourage people to PLAY the game and compete; and that I can't object to. An outsiders' perspective might be different, but beside from the language he chooses, he's basically harmless. Also, he does...

It really bothered me as well. However, the command [CHAT_LAYER 0] gets rid of it. You can thank AI, I believe this was his doing.ConVicT wrote:Still have that stupid colour behind chat that I hate.

Re: Player Name Scramble
If you're not playing a game where it's critical to know names you could always do FADEOUT_NAME_DELAY 0.
Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but hey, it works.

Re: 0.4 Cockpit Discussion
Copying my post from another thread... I really like the essential series, including rain's essential and flex's essential remix. I like flex's a bit more because it has more information without being cluttered. I would really like to see something like one of those included with 0.4. I like them be...

Re: Ladle 97
While in theory the idea of having hidden servers makes sense, I think it would be cumbersome to have to tell 50-100 people server information. Even then you run the risk of someone leaking the information out anyway. If I'm understanding everything correctly, I don't think it's a terribly feasible ...
