To me, 20's "style" of writing comes across as a bunch of disjointed thoughts that are difficult to follow and make my brain hurt, similar to the lolz and the AOL-speak of some of the kids around here. Perhaps he's actually quite eloquent in spoken word, but here it looks like a constant h...

Damn, you're quick. I go to the forums, open any threads of interest in tabs, and then make my way to this one not long after. But by the time I hit reply, you've already got a few posts knocked out.

Uhhhh... no . I was going to say I smoke everything but drugs. But then I'd get the "cigarettes are drugs" speech. So I smoke cigarettes and cigars when it's a good party or special occasion. I don't do drugs. Other than smoking and drinking that is. Heh. I was just giving you a hard time...

Re: Capture The Flag Respawning

- Your_mom suggested taking out the base respawns and auto-respawning after 45 seconds. That would certainly solve the problem, but I like the current strategy :B) I think it's fine as it is now (or as of yesterday when I last played, anyway). But whatever you do, please don't go for the last optio...

About $10 per pack. And that's if you buy brand name at the cheapest place in town. Buy them in a convenience store, or a bar and you're talking like $12-$14. Is that for a 20 or a 25-pack? In Manitoba 25 was the norm and you'd once in awhile see 20s. In BC it's 20. Either way, they're bloody expen...

Well put, ed. Unfortunately, it's a few of the more vocal players that make it seem like the majority of them are whiners. I've learned to ignore it, and even embrace it at times, but I imagine it can be discouraging to some of the newer players who aren't used to the cliques that have formed on som...

It works! Anyway, I haven't felt all that sociable lately, which is why I haven't been around, and when I do pop in no one is talking. But I'll try and stop by more often. Didn't know that anyone missed me. :P I had to forcibly kill mpg321 after closing DSAC because music was still playing quietly i...

Ah, okay. I didn't know it was a dependancy error because I was under the impression that the configure script would complain and not allow me to go forward if I was missing something. Still learning something new every day. On Debian testing (the repos the old version of Mepis uses), pyuic is in th...

I just think its a cheap way to play the game by using holes i think you should have to work to make ground of the defender and not just cut in See, I've never understood this logic. Should we not use brakes or grinding (wouldn't want to have an unfair speed advantage), either? In a game--sports or...

I read the writeup about this on your site some number of months ago and look forward to seeing the nifty features you talked about wanting to implement in action one day. It sounds like a really cool project. Unfortunately, I tried installing it at the time and got some error or another, so I gave ...

Hmm. Same thing happened to me after compiling the client from source on Kubuntu. I did a ./configure and make and then tried to run ./src/armagetronad_main but got an error about missing language British english. Only after doing make install would it run.

Heh. That's the same guy that claimed to be a developer for Apple and was working on OS X v10.5 (Leopard). He also kept spamming some shitty free hosting service in Wild Fortress that he's supposedly affiliated with and offers "unlimited" bandwidth and disk space. Looking at DNS records an...

Thanks, Z. That did the trick. Though isn't the purpose of Autopackage to take care of such dependencies and make installation simple? :P Also, I'm not sure if it's a problem with Autopackage itself or the Armagetron binary, but every time I tried to uninstall the package it would bitch about a miss...
