What would you like to do? I guess that would depend upon whether the LAN party comes equipped with a webserver and/or internet access for all parties. An interesting point really. arma is ideal for LAN parties, but the current setup is less than ideal for ad-hoc LANs. Given that map files are rela...

Instant chat for console commands?
I was thinking that with the new HUD it would be nice to switch HUD layout at a keystroke (if its even possible) but there would be other times it would be nice also, maybe to send server commands etc. Possibly something like "/console <command>" in an instant chat for example. So, in shor...

Can each client have their own different movie pack installed? Will it cause the game to go out of sync? The server is unaware of te client's moviepack, so yes, each client can have it's own [*]Is the installation of a movie pack simply unzipping everything into a MOVIEPACK folder in the Armagetron...

Erm, I don't recall making a cheap shot about either the disabled or willy waving. Maybe you could point it out, without selectively quoting parts of a post to prove an ill-founded point? It does seem, to me at least, that most of your posts contain either a not so well concealed swipe at another po...

My opinion here (for what it is worth, I am going on gut feeling rather than any training, formal or otherwise) is that your best bet would be some form of live CD. If it were tailored, as I suspect it would, to screw maximal framerates out of hardwarewithout unneeded overhead associated with a norm...

Sounds like the kind of thing I could help with, depending on how much time it takes up. I would be OK with up to about 6 hours a week. Basic shell scripting is not a problem for me, and I have a basic knowledge of C++, certainly enough to be able to understand how bugs can happen. What's more, I am...
