Re: Ladle 86

Thanks to all who had a hand in organizing this! My experience: When those incidents happened, the round would start for me, but there would be no cycles on the grid, so my camera just kept statically pointed at an empty grid. I manually disconnected, reloaded server list, and chose the server again...

Re: Ladle 83

I propose a fight to the core dump between Liz, Vein, and Mister. Place them in a server with blank square map of very large size factor, infinite tail length, 0.2 rubber, and standard fortress physics otherwise. One round, one survivor. The victor is allowed continued participation in our community...

Re: Elmo

There is a therapy that involves writing eulogies about people who are alive as if they had passed. The practice helps the writer see the goodness in others. It is often used in relationship counseling. I am not suggesting we all write eulogies to each other, but maybe, when you are in a server, ta...

Re: Competition Time Poll

I'm not going to submit a vote to this since I haven't been participating in much of any competition lately, but I'd say 6am is far too early.

His connection is usually terrible, so no worries there.
I actually find Syre's complaints as one of the most reliable sources to determine the quality of a server. If he complains about it being crappy, the server will tend to be quite stable.

Re: SBX - Sumo Bar Experience [ Sunday Aug 18 ] [Brackets U

It'd be ideal if a mod were there to try to reset your score as soon as you were to return, but if one isn't it's far from ideal to wait. Not only should you not hold everybody up, it could seriously disorganize the tournament if you try to pause a match between rounds.

Re: SBX I | Brackets & Settings

I dunno if you're already on this, but the other servers haven't been signed up and assigned yet. Furthermore, is the finals going to be in the US or Euro? Servers for each round should all get sorted out before the tournament starts.

Yes, to make it more selective; less like a ladle, and more like a prestigious annual tournament.

Re: Ladle 72

If we're doing this time change business, I suggest we take a poll right away in which each team only has 1 vote. I don't know what the standard percentage in this community is to pass something, but 67% sounds like it'd be good off the top of my head. Abstaining votes should count as no votes (as i...

Re: [AFL] http://theAFL.tk - Post screenshots in this thread

Awesome matches to both Siren and Redemption! Really, some of the best matches I've ever played in (all ten). Big thanks to Durka for putting in so much effort to set this up and stick with it. There were very few and minor speedbumps along the way. And of course, the usual thanks to all those who p...

Re: [AFL] THE AFL STARTS THIS SUNDAY! WOOHOO! http://theAFL.

Yep, big props on the site. Big fan of the simplicity and straightforwardness.

Question: How would two teams tie each other in a match?

Re: Ladle 71

Yea but Peat's servers aren't really "lagless" xD. How about going off the server tracker list to see the best hosts? I know Poke said quantity before quality, but I think he meant the other way around, and I agree completely. I think he meant right. having a lot of servers during a tourn...
