I've decided that having moderators causes too many issues. I will continue to read all of the forums and moderate it myself. You may ask why, and I'll tell. I'm not happy with how this has turned out. I realise that this has been my fault in part, and I accept that. I have not communicated properl...

Re: double binding and macro prevention
I've had a thought about double binding. What I don't like about it is when it's abused, and is used to lag the game server. That's not in the spirit of the game if you ask me. My proposed solution would also stop people from using macros, which should *never* be used in my opinion. Can there be a ...

Will deleteing and touching the ladder file cause a problem if you do not also stop and start the game? It shouldn't, only because the calculation of the ladder takes a fraction of a second and you're only switching ladder files once per month. If it were more often, then there would be a problem. ...

Re: new ladder formula
I think the ladder scoring should be revised. As I recall, there is a control for the percentage of your score that gets thrown into the pot for others to capture. In the very least, that percentage could be lowered. I agree that it should be modified, and I'm going to look into this over the weeke...

If I was to make this change, I would zero out the ladder at ish so everyone starts at the same place. I think I can zero the ladder without removing changing the rounds/matches won. Yes, this can be done. You could manually edit the ladder file or write a bash shell script to clean it out automati...

Won matches and ladder scores are a joke and may not be used, especially ladder scores. Case in point. Lets look at the most recent ladder scores on 2.6 darnish. 31 eggcozy 63.68 32 Digital Logic 62.9563 20 minutes before this standing, I was at place 150, with an ultimate low in the 20 minutes of ...

Also, since I expected people to respect my decisions as project admin for Armagetron Advanced (however unpopular those decisions were), I respect the decisions Tank makes in his forum. It's nothing personal, I'm sure. As far as I know, Tank and I have no issues on a personal level. He's just doing ...

marrow: what is the status of armagetronad project? Will you continue as a project manager? Which are the reasons you are leaving? Oh! I'm sad because a lot of strange things are happening... :( Like subby, I was kicked off the moderation team here at the forum without notification. However, to ans...
