Re: Happy birthday Phytotron!

Yay, I made April fools of youse! (See my avatar. Identify all slides and their individual and cumulative significance for a glitter star sticker.) Although, I was hoping for more of a, "wait, what, he only just turned 27 and is always trying to act all old and call us kids?!?!" kind of t...

Re: age, ageism, maturity...

Phytotron, THINK. Obviously my personal experiences are not the world. Example: At lunch, Jimmy buys Doritos and Johnny bu...

Re: age, ageism, maturity...

Re: age, ageism, maturity...

lizcats I would have to disagree with you. I was the ONLY African-American in my school from preschool to 8th grade; I was never discriminated against, and it's because..... no1curr. My race was hardly ever brought up, unless we were discussing getting sunburned (which I am immune to on this planet...

Re: age, ageism, maturity...

And I think that's the heart of why so many LGBT teens decide their "choice" is lifelong pain and suffering or death. No, retarded high school/middle school students who care way too much about everything that doesn't matter (the victims included) is the heart of why so many LGBT teens su...

Sorry for the confusion.

I meant was he sharing your opinion of the lifestyle being a choice (+1 to chrisd on his post about that btw), or was he saying it was a choice to be gay.

Re: age, ageism, maturity...

Sexual orientation is no more a "choice" or "lifestyle" than gender, skin color, height, or eye color. Choice only enters in when it comes to behaviour related to sexuality. Positions (er, no pun intended) on sexual behaviour should apply equally to all sexual orientations—and g...

I don't care about labels. My point is that sexuality is not a choice.

Re: age, ageism, maturity...

I would say that I, since I became fully aware of my own feelings, have actively chosen to only go with the attraction for females .. This is why I asked that question. Not sure if you share the same opinion as Liz; but if you meant "choice" as in he chose to be gay (assuming that's what ...
