Re: Audio Waveform Art

Oh, that! It's called math, indeed. I used sine and cosine (more elegantly put as the imaginary and real parts of the value of the complex exponential function with an imaginary argument, but I'm trying to help) to space the vertices evenly. I normalized area and then transformed each polygon to its...

Re: Audio Waveform Art

Um, where do I even start? You've made one yourself, somehow! I'll just try to give a brief overview. The signal is simply amplitude varying over time. Time is always increasing, running from left to right on this sort of graph. At regular intervals are samples, where you can set any amplitude (vert...

Re: Forums Additional Mod

Why does every other website decide for me to open a new window or tab, when most browsers don't let you block it? No thanks.

Re: Cookie Clicker

Hey, there are stroopwafels! But if I want one I just walk to the local supermarket. It's cheaper, too, considering fake stroopwafels aren't very valuable to me.

That's mean, Titan. At that level of world obesity, it's more humane to kill everybody off as quickly as possible.

Re: Cookie Clicker

You can actually reset everything from within the game. Which might award you some achievements, by the way. Imagine what you could do with the extra milk!

Re: Cookie Clicker

after the last upgrades, i think i will give up, its just wasting my time Changed your mind yet? Actually completing the game without cheating significantly (you need to cheat to get at least one of the achievements) takes a long time. I thought I could have a laugh without too much effort by being...

Re: Cookie Clicker

The depth of the game surprised me. There's actually a teeny weeny bit of strategy to it.

Re: Couple of PSAs

Jonathan: yes, Mercury is silly. Impossible to see in regular urban areas. Who has ever seen it? I have, but only once, when I planned my jogging round so I'd be crossing a bridge over the Rhine when viewing conditions were close to optimal. Plus, it's a rather bland piece of rock. And yes, if afte...

Re: Couple of PSAs

@sinewav I don't care that much about the classification of dwarf planets. Just be consistent. The list of "the nine planets" I was taught is just wrong! The initial focus should be on the things we can see, e.g. the planets that you mentioned (perhaps Mercury should be de-emphasized). Inc...

Re: Couple of PSAs

It's okay to be a dwarf! Don't have to dodge the issue. It can still be a worthy citizen of the Solar System, albeit one that can't take a punch.
