Re: New Fort Ladle 112 ( April 5th)

It wasn't clear to anyone until it happened, I think. So no worries there!

Re: New Fort Ladle 112 ( April 5th)

ggs! Thanks to everyone who played and all server donors who made it possible. It was fun! Yeah, about that... can we change it back, please? It's insignificant to gameplay, and the value 2020 was honoring the forum member mostly responsible for creating this tournament format. I'm sure the real rea...

I'll drop a screenshot of it as backup just in case someone from the future is looking. :)

SBT 14 brackets (I believe that is the correct number, someone should sort that out because this page isn't too clear atm.)

SBT March 28 2020 Predictions

It's been a long time, but the tradition of making tournament predictions is too good not to disturb its slumber. Would love to see all of y'alls predictions as well! Opening Round NA: Fini Click --> Force Decent enough on a good day. Agility --> Send Nudz Assuming his nets alright, Noodz is a class...

Dynamic Sumo Zone Size Maps For 2-12 Players

Hello there! In Noodz' sumo bar servers we've recently been using a script which changes the zone size proportionally to the number of players, and it's been a hit so far. I thought I'd document the maths behind it somewhere on the forum just in case someone wants to find it later and I'm not around...

The next mini-TST will most likely be in 2 months, on April 12th. We'll get to enjoy other types of sumo tournament in the mean time.
Obviously meant May 10th. Not sure what made me say the wrong month, was probably tired.

Signed up! :done:

:pacman: :sdot: :sdot: :sdot:

For those who can handle it: consider signing up for "EITHER" (rather than US or EU), as this will make it easier for the organizer to fit everyone into the brackets. :star:

Re: Discord-based tournaments, discussion

That sounds great. Seems like a good way to go. The next step is either trying to gain the attention of more of the community to see if this is the way we want to move forward, or the other way around: "build it and they will come". I personally favour the latter, but the amount of work required to ...

Re: Discord-based tournaments, discussion

So, without trying to sound negative ... I'm not trying to sound negative, but ... To be clear, I was talking about myself and nobody else. As for the rest, let's see if I can break it down. What will a Discord bot do that the Wiki doesn't provide, and will it be worth losing the existing functiona...

Re: Discord-based tournaments, discussion

Okay, so kinda going off-topic already with alternate solutions. For the browser based approach, that sounds great and all but - realistically - it seems farther away than a discord bot. I'm not worried about players not knowing commands; everyone will see the bot being used and can just mimic. We'r...

Discord-based tournaments, discussion

Since we're all in discord anyway, it would be easier to set up some of our tournaments there instead. If you're in a hurry (or just lazy), just make sure to read the first 15 or so lines! :) I'll get into detail later, but to give you an idea let's imagine any single player tournament: PREPARE A re...

Re: mini-TST 2

mTST 2 was won by Andrei & Ninja Potato. Congratulations! A "bird's eye" recording of the final is available here ! There's no game audio (because 0.4) and I was listening to Mozart string quartets; doesn't really give an armagetron tournament final vibe so I recommend muting & blasting your own tu...

Re: mini-TST 2

Until now, I was unaware that US daylight savings happened last night. This means we're starting 3 pm EDT, noon PDT. Timetable has been updated in the doc. Luckily, if affected players have missed this, they'll be an hour early rather than an hour late. Sorry for any inconvenience!
