Re: 0.4 not connecting to any of the master servers

Necro.

So I have the same problem. For about 2 weeks now Tron freezes while collecting the server list. Usually stops at 40.. or 50..

There seem to be incompatiblities with my client (0.4-2269), my net and one particular server.

Re: Ladle Fortress 2014 (Discussion)

Reduce rubber so adjusts become impossible. Suddenly you can't just adjust-kill attackers and cuts become alot more dangerous.

Re: Ladle Fortress 2014 (Discussion)

I would like to raise a new idea. Coming from chess I played alot of tournaments using the swiss system. For reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiss-system_tournament Considering our stale playerbase and the monthly rhythm I propose a swiss system. It has a some advantages and a few disadvanta...

Re: Ladle 71

Congrats CT.

Great matches Hoax & co. Sometimes you lose with an average match score of 98.

Also -1 to Team Germany. That was some needlessly obnoxious behaviour you guys displayed there.

Cybertrench was the sudden death server. One of my favourites - sadly corvus corax left a long time ago.

Re: Where is the Ladle (and Fortress) heading in the future?

There is a simple physical change which would dramatically improve the fortress experience for the better: lower rubber to a value between 2-3. More deaths, faster shrinks, rising skill-level, less adjusts etc. PS: 1v2 unconquerable is so stupid, I just refuse to post any argument about it. +2 No, ...

I do not play in the sumo tournaments, so the ladle is as exciting as ever.

Re: Ladle 49

I would question that. One attacker is enough to keep 3 defenders busy making it easy to hunt your remaining 3 players. Wait that actually happened in our game... I you employ a stubborn sweepbox you already already admit a partial defeat. A box at start can be be fine to enable a clean setup, but s...

Re: Silent Rule on pickup server

In my experience punishing individuals drew the same if not more ire by them complaining and rallying forces. There is no simple way to deal with the issue except a majority vote at the start of the pickup but let's not go there, picking seems to be too complicated for some people already. Also I wo...

Re: Total Fortress

Changing the initial position is the best way to shake up established strategies. Also reducing rubber would empower the attackers.

Re: My Satirical Perspective

What? (This is my thought about this thread, basically) I'd be happy if people would not fill the chatbox with utter nonsense 90% of the time I had played this game. I come to play not to try squeezing in text messages in a quite demanding game (attention-wise). I'd be using voicechat or a dedicated...
