Re: What are you watching right now?

Someone gave me TRON and TRON:Legacy on DVD, but I already have them. If you want these I'll send then to you, free (PM me). Otherwise I've gonna throw them out or something.

Re: Weird Spam

The "Gay Agenda" has been weaponized with propaganda bots?

You can get better while trying out your new gear. Buying guitar pedals is half the fun of playing!

Wow, what an unexpected thing to learn today!

One day I plan to build a Hurdy-Gurdy, though it will have a quite a few sympathetic strings, like a sitar.

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Black Midi A friend of mine made me watch that live video a couple weeks ago. He was all excited about "Black MIDI" and I was confused because I was thinking of the music genre Black MIDI . I think it was a bad decision for this band to use that name, but whatever. They're good, but they didn't liv...

Re: And now we have git.

If someone would be so kind to set up a VM or something and record a video doing a 0-to-100 tutorial on building from source (including obtaining the relevant tools), it would really help someone like me who just doesn't know what tools to use and how to set them up. The tool setup process feels li...

Re: CAMERA_VISIBILITY_* family of settings

Problem persists regardless of value, will keep the Rim lowered until there is a fix. Possibly related to my need to use SDL1 instead of SDL2? Though I seem to remember this bug on a previous install and I think I used SDL2 then. Can't remember. Oh well!

and flicker on top of that I've noticed that flicker, but it's only a mild annoyance. There is a similar flicker where it looks like the Rim draws over itself (Screenshot attached). The CAMERA_VISIBILITY_EXTENSION is a multiplier of time? Ok. I doubled it, the doubled it again and the Rim still cau...

CAMERA_VISIBILITY_* family of settings

Can someone explain the CAMERA_VISIBILITY_* family of settings?

The rim walls in v0.4 do not drop fast enough and sometimes obscure my cycle. I don't remember this happening in v0.2. Will this family of settings change the behavior?

:) Thanks!

That did the trick: make clean plus the configure flags provided by Nelg has fixed the sound issue (roll back to SDL1). I lost all my key bindings, but that's not a big deal.

:star: Thanks for the help guys, hope to see you in-game soon!

Re: Sound irregularities, 0.4

Do we still support sdl1? I assume so. On 0.4 when you run configure you can do --disable-sdl2 --enable-sdl1 I tried with those flags and Arma failed on make install : make[2]: Entering directory '/home/user/0.4-armagetronad/src' g++ -I./tools -I./resource -I./thirdparty/mathexpr -I./thirdparty/utf...

Re: Sound irregularities, 0.4

I made a short video of the problem.

I might try to recompile with an earlier version and see if that helps.

Sound irregularities, 0.4 [SOLVED]

I just installed 0.4_alpha20190407 (from Lightron.org) and the sound is messed up. The pitch of the cycle engine volley up and down, occasionally cutting out completely in place of other sounds (explosions) and there is weird aliasing. This effect is present on all sound quality settings (low/med/hi...
