Building AA

Ok, I'm trying to build AA on Mandrake 10 and have encountered some...interesting problems. Here's some configure output: checking for SDL_Init in -lSDL... no configure: error: You need the library SDL to compile Armagetron. Read the file LIBS. First, the file LIBS doesn't exist. Second, I have SDL ...

Re: About 3D formats support & Cockpit Rendering

Hello First of all let me apologize if some of the answers are already available in the forum. --------------------------------------------- 3D formats supported by Armagetron ---------------------------------------------- My only issue here (and I'm not an AA developer) is that AA needs to support...

Rear view mirror

Ok, I've figured out how to ask for a rear view mirror. ;) The custom camera stuff is all there already, I think. So to make a rear view mirror, AA needs to do a couple of simple things. Allow assignment of multiple viewports to the same player Allow custom sizing of viewports Allow the HUD to be to...

maybe its because im using a K6-2 not a pentium ?? when i have tried it in the past the music kept skipping and finally the pc crashed I'd suggest two things. ;) First, you're right Iceman that it should be optional. Some of us don't play with sound at all and would prefer to turn off sound to get ...

its the savage driver made from dri. Video card is a Savage Pro Twister-K The driver can be so so in stability, but the interesting factor is that is work well with 2.6, but not with anything else. What has been changed between both version that could cause that. I'm not blaming aa, I just think it...

That sounds like a bad driver. What kind of vid card + driver do you have?

I have occasional unexplained freezes myself, I wonder if it's the driver and not AA?

O my! That is something I would never have thought of. But you realise that it would be possible to "spy" on other player during a game. Not just spectator mode (I dont see that as cheating), but I mean automatically displaying the speed and rubber of the player that is currently catching...

crap! if it was something that upset saburai it was probably a good thing... :( *Sigh* Censorship is never a good thing. I didn't mind moving it off the page when Iceman remarked on it, but Iceman may not have complained if I had done that in the first place. Sometimes it's reasonable to have a &qu...

I never said I was afraid of them - I said I was annoyed by them and the tools of the trade are my least favorite parts of the game. (double grinding in particular) On that note, I have found that a fairly reliable way to get Yaza is to do exactly that. ;) You have to trick him to grind the outer w...

Some pre made ones are enjoyable, but I think it they are better when you make them your self, I don't like it to much when people make other avatars for others. I think the avatar is pretty much a canvas for self expression. The best avatars I've seen are on these boards I'd have to say. Keep up t...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Brakes are for sissies. ;) I don't even know what key triggers the brakes, since I remapped all my keybindings for better camera controls and I move my brake and promptly forgot where I put it. So whenever I want to hit my brakes now I have to look it up. D...

What I REALLY want is an audio warning that the game start in 3 2 1... I'm with you in this. This is a must. I might be able to get my wife to record the numbers, and then throw some reverb and cool stuff on it. She has a good voice for this sort of thing. I might even be able to make them 8 bit 22...
