...O and keep your text centered on ONE idea. If you start in fabulation about 15 other ideas, make 15 request. (and post them on the forum too) -ph Will do. Sorry if I tend to stray a bit offtopic, I haven't gone to sleep yet... okay, I took about a two hour nap, but that was it. Mind tends to wan...

You probably don't want to read this as much as I hate to write it, but have you tried updating your video drivers? You might be a bit out of luck, as I'm pretty sure voodoo went the way of the dodo, not sure if they still maintain drivers for their products, chances are they don't, but let's be omt...

Gladly, but I'm sorry to say I don't know where on sourceforge to surf to... do you mean the armagetron.sourceforge.net site? If not, would you kindly point me in the right direction?

It'd be the necessary change in movement that would kill it- I visualize the recognizer roaming the grid to kill you, which the old clients would have no way of displaying... Ah, yes, of course. Good point. Forgive my sleep deprived state, I completely overlooked that. That does pose a problem, hmm...

The color codes thing was removed because it destroys text centering, which really screws up display fatures, which I know dissatifies me in 99% of the cases.     Yeah, I figured that's why it was removed. I agree that the offcenter aspect it creates is annoying, and, although I haven't taken the l...

Perhapse

Of course, it'd break backwards compatibility I believe... *nod* the easier method would be to simply break backwards compatibility, but it isn't necessary. A simple version check could determine whether or not to use the old style winzone or new Recognizer version... and I'm pretty sure the change...

Tank: Cool, thanks for clearing that up. I still haven't really had a desire to switch to 0.2.7, I just don't have a need for the new features I've heard it offers. Not to mention being fond of some of the "features" it took away; namely the colored text. I think next in names, and chat, s...

Re: Recognizers

depends on how you display a model, but nice idea... i just see a glimmer of possibility... but i believe that's beyond my skill... It, indeed, would require a bit of code alteration as one would have to alter the existing win zone code to display a model instead of the, what looks to be, rather si...

Recognizers

Wouldn't it be great to be able to replace that pesky win-zone by, not only a death zone, but a free roaming recognize depicted by SuperTard's wonderful rendering? We've already seen death zones in action... only a matter of time now!

Nice modding everyone, keep up the great work.

Nice

Very impressive, SER. Have you ever considered writing a tutorial, or Mini-HowTo, detailing the basics of model modding?

That's cool, I was just asking about general development use, not specifically for Armagetron.

problems? Problems?! I'll show yoooouuuu PROBLEMS!

Heh, ok, problem: people resurrecting old threads and getting all emotional/causing problems/think problems are being caused to them. Examples of old threads causing misplaced emotion/problems? And don't try and say the post I just made, because my gripe was with the topic at hand being closed, not...

Greetings

Hey '56,     sorry about the delayed reply; yes I have caught and slaughtered many bugs lately. Thanks for asking. The conspiracy thickens: my girlfriend is _highly_ alergic to bee, and the like, stings... so much so, in fact, that if she were to be stung she would only have about 45 minutes to live...

Hmmm...

At this point are you no longer promoting the use of 0.2.6, and thus armagetron.sourceforge.net is obsolete (so to speak)? If not, what's wrong with that setup? Very functoinal IMO, why not use a similar design for 0.2.7, and subsequent releases? Is 0.2.7 a complete fork of 0.2.6 (different deve...
