yes, you're absolutely correct. from what little c++ i've read i like it a lot better than java (if i could choose absokutely freely i'd start with c, then c++, then java). I'm a real newbie in programming but seems to me java lost a lot by its main goal of being 100% platform&device independent...

hmm ok but i'll encouraage you to send a copy of the changes to Z-man anyway (you can either use the official website or the sourceforge site, it shouldn't matter), that way it can be made progressively better by other coders as well as get implemented in the other OS'es... does it help if i say ple...

it has to do this with lag: editing settings (like which colors your bike has) in config during play seems to increase the server workload more than it should... this in turn makes things go slower and people experience more lag (not always the case but often). same thing can be experienced if peopl...

so i thought i'd mention it: i've seen some nice trailskins made by ppl who doesn't have a place to share them. these are small files, maybe they could be allowed to upload the files into an area of this server and post them in a folder on the forum named "modified files" or something? :id...

my 2 cents:

ppl should still be able to log on with new names seperately with a "guest" option (authentication shouldn't exclude non-authentication, just preserve the name integrity for those registered)
