cvs passworded now?

I went to do a cvs update so I could compile in any changes done in the last few months (last compiled 8-22-05), and I was asked for a password (never was before).

Was one added recently?

Thanks.

I use Tortiose to pull the sources out of the CVS directly to my windows box.

Speaking of which, it's been a few weeks since I've checked for new code. Better do that :) lol

I love it. I've always thought that DB'ing was a bug and the correct fix is to have the clients unable to map two keys to the same function to eliminate it completely. It is still nice to know that I can shut it off DBing on my server, but the problem is that few will. The servers of today rely on D...

Yeah, tank had a server called 4 lives. It was a little before my time, but I heard a lot about it. If he still has that code and it can reasonably be adapted to the new version, it might be a good place to start. Your idea, Luke, seems to include his 4 lives code but with added value. :) I've play...

I got it to work with CodeBlocks. Never heard of them before. interesting idea. :)

I used the free Microsoft C++ compiler with it, and it worked great.

My name shows up again on 2.7 servers!! :) and doens't look like ____r__ on 2.8 servers.

I didn't see that there was other things to download from cvs (like the winlibs, etc.)

I have it compiling now. Thanks for pointing me in the right place.

Windows Compile HOW-TO?

I've tried off and on many times to try to compile this in windows with zero success.

Is someone who knows how to do it able to make a HOW-TO type of doc that walks through what is needed to compile it?

Thanks :)

Thanks. I found them.

Just wondering, is there a windows pre-compiled version of a 2.8.0-pre version anywhere? I recompiled on my linux box the client and server last night from the latest in CVS, and I like the look of it (and it fixes a few bugs that I found in the windows client that I'm currently using - one of the 2...

ranks up there with my 4-year-old.

I installed MAME on a computer he uses, and he's figured out that in fighting games, if you put in enough credits for a 2-player game, he'll win :)

In Mario Brothers, he was so excited the first time that he cleared the first level :)

to me, it seems like it would be very hard to play.

The walls are supposedly paper thin, you'd expect the vehicle to be similarly dimentioned.
