I did (if you mean by using the custom connect) but inexplicably no dice.

I have it on the exception list for internet access, but I don't see how a firewall could block the client program from seeing the server prog. if it's on the same computer. I'm definitely missing something. I'll troubleshoot a little more tomorrow and come back with the results.

Ah! Thanks for the advice, I found something that is probably a solution for my first problem (starting teh server to run). And thanks to Z-Man, if he will ever read this thread, for the wonderful proverb that was true in my situation.

I do see your point though. Also, color codes take up a lot of space. More character room would be a help for those people who use them.

Hello tron! I'm trying to set up a server. I managed to download the actual rpm file, but I don't use linux often (ever) and I'm running the serverbox from SSH and it's all rather confusing. All I want to do is start the dedicated server running, set the password, give it a name, and talk_to_master....

Whaaaa? The SP website is erased off of the intarwub! I can't even find a ghost shell of it! What happened, psyko? Did we exceed our bandwith? Or something else frustratingly stupid?
