When i'm in our fort server i often practice with cycle_walls_stay_up_delay set to -1 and respawn_time 0.1 so it's harder for me; and I noticed that sp_walls_stay_up_delay and walls_stay_up_delay seems to be useless in single player mode.
The setting seems to change only after ive set cycle_wall_stay_up_delay to another value. So...is it possible to have an infinite walls_stay_up_delay in single player mode while it's 8 whenever there's more than one player in our server? Then i wouldn't need to change it all the time.

The issue there could be that it's one of the settings that only get applied for new rounds.
