Shut off servers?
Moderator: Tank Program
Well, I didn't know about these problems so far Give me a recording plus a screenshot or an exact time index pinpointing the occurence of the problem and I'll see what I can do. Yes, the fact that the server can't record is a factor that works against me here, but the one sure thing is that without a recording, my hands are tied.
I knew that there was something wrong with that sentence I wrote as an explanation.
Hehe I was doing this for the first time and I´m sure you could make this more professional but perhaps it helps to understand a little.
EDIT: The wall length backwards is probably much shorter. That should be a pretty fast turn.
Code: Select all
ok i go to the middle ------------------>
then a 180 turn ------------------------------

<---
I go back and try to grind again as soon as possible
so then ---------------------------

^ |
^------
back to the wall I went to the middle
and then-------------------^---------|

^ <-------
SMACK I´m in my first wall and I´m dead. I´ve made these 10000000
times already and that´s my problem with Tigers Classic

AH, tripple bind right, single bind left Works fine for me on Classic Play. Maybe you just have to increase your outgoing network rate? The rate control was buggy in 0.2.7, in 0.2.8, that was fixed, so now maybe the fourth turn command is delayed in the queue. Edit: no, that's probably not it. The trick continues to work for me even with the minimal output rate.
Again, a recording of such an incident would help.

You know, now that he mentions it, I have the same problem. And you know I don't even double bind. It's just the act of boxing back onto your own tail—left, left, left, touch it, right. It is most dangerous at the beginning of a round, but it can happen at any point. I had dismissed it as an annoying variation of bounce and/or the awful ping I get there.
That´s what half of this thread is all about but as I said: It didn´t happen with 2.7.1 so there has to be something wrong with 2.8 as the Tigers Classic settings haven´t changed, right?Lucifer wrote:
They're still running 0.2.6 with some custom stuff, I think.
And exactly this is the reason I don´t play any more on Tigers since I use 2.8. now.

Thx I´ll try.
EDIT: Ok I made one with my digicam. LoL looks kinda stupid but perhaps you can see a little what I meant.
EDIT 2 : EW! The Extension mswmm is not allowed.
EDIT 3: Ok zipped now. Enjoy!

Er, I'll get one for youse.
EDIT: Here it be. I captured two instances of it, both at the very start of the round. You'll have to wait through a couple rounds between them, though—the second especially, because, well, you know how people play there. Also, uh, during the recording I made a couple comments of my own unrelated to this particular thing. You can ignore them if you want. (One of them may be an example of my "stick and skip," but I'll get a separate, more sufficient recording for that, eventually.)
