I've used the same settings ever since I learned what "Double Binding" was within the first week of playing this game.

Left = left shift, z
Right = x, c
Brake/Turbo = Up arrow
Glance left/right = Left/right arrow
Chat = s

The left hand drives while the right hand glances.

All other keys are redundant to post.

YaY - now i can show why i allways lose in this game;)

Movement:

A - Turn left.
D - Turn right.
Left mousebutton - Turn left.
Right mousebutton - Turn right.
S - Brake.

Camera:

Shift - Look left.
Space - Look right.
none - Look behind.
Mousemove to right - Turn left
Mousemove to left - Turn right
Move mouse up - get away from grid-ground(so you can see from abowe.. usefull if you can't see a way out of a maze and have to find it quick)
Move mouse back - Get closer to gridground
Scroll UP - Moves camera forward.
Scroll Down - Moves camera back.
V - Changes Camview

"/" on numpad-pad - Talk(to awoid hitting it by error or minimize window when talking)
H - To minimize window(far away from the movement-buttons)

It takes some time to get used to.. took me some days.. but i think it can pay off.. i can see anything going on, on the grid :)
Guess i havn't forgot any keys.. hehe..
only problem with the settings is that my mouse-key sometimes doubleklick.. and when you try to make 180 you just die.. annoying like hell!

tell me if you are going to try it.. hehe :)

Hehehe and sometimes my mouse doesn´t react at all - probably hibernates - or more likely: it´s cheap HP crap....

I tried to use the mouse and I had the same problem like you. So I went back to my old settings:

Left Turn - Left Arrow, Q
Right Turn - Right Arrow, E
Brake - Back Arrow (Don't know if it's the right word)
Left View - A
Right View -D
Look Behind- S
Chat - C

For me as a Guitar Player I think it's good to control the camera with the left and the cycle with the right hand.

Damn Luke, look back a page—your setup is nearly identical to mine, and apparently for the same reason, only your left hand is shifted one key space over.

my setup - this is totally natural for me, and I can't see how ANYONE can play with left and right on each hand!!

left A,Z (also Q for a mad tripple bind experiment, but never used)
right period(.), colon(:) (also [ )
brake @

glance left S
glance right L
glance back SPACEBAR

chats on f1 through f12

wheelie RETURN

the rest are largely unimportant in this context, although having read through this thread I wonder why I never got round to remapping the fullscreen key!

Oh, just to clarify (since the syntax may have implied otherwise), the "Damn Luke" wasn't in reference to you not having looked back a page; it was in reference to you having very similar bindings to my own. Damn, as in, wow, golly, how about that.

Ok it seems mine needs some adjustments, since my last post in this thread I’ve turned into a rather keen triple binder, I am sure most people I usually play with are aware of this.

Just an update so ill post it all again in the hope that I might convert someone into a triple binding fiend such as myself. :D

True enlightenment can only be reached via triple bind.

Movement:

Z - Turn left..
X - Turn right.
Arrow Left - Turn left.
Arrow Right - Turn right.
Left CTRL - Left turn.
Left ALT - Right turn.
Arrow Down - Brake (never really used).

Camera:

A - Look left.
D - Look right.
S - Look behind.
PageUP - Moves camera forward.
PageDown - Moves camera back.

Others:

F1 to F8 - Instant chat.
F12 - Dumps a png.
~ and ` - Console.
C - Chat.
