Re: kony 2012
Ha, wow, even this site couldn't help me translate that.
More importantly: Invisible Children "KONY 2012" Leader Suggests It's About Jesus, and Evangelizing
This, not only for the report itself, but also for all the resources embedded within and listed at the end of it.
The subject of the Kony 2012 video made it on the PBS News Hour tonight. I couldn't watch the whole segment because of more pressing matters: the ballgame was on. But one thing they noted was this is the most "viral" video to date. This is why we need critical thinking taught in schools. Anyway, here's that segment, if anyone's interested.

How does this affect the way you see the campaign? I have an idea but I'd rather ask you than assume wrong.Phytotron wrote:More importantly: Invisible Children "KONY 2012" Leader Suggests It's About Jesus, and Evangelizing

Oh no, you put it out there; I want to hear this. You can begin with what you presume to be the way I saw it in the first place, before I read that report.Titanoboa wrote:How does this affect the way you see the campaign? And by the way, why the hell did you bold the "more importantly?" That was referring back to and transitioning from the previous bit about that gobbledegook language. What's your point?

Craven.
Anyway, from last night's Daily Show: My Little Kony - Youth Activism
Just the 'Syria 2012' part. Comedy Central had a stand-alone clip of that part, but my bookmarks from last night have already changed and I can't locate it on their site now.

Re: kony 2012
I have to admit if it wasn't for the recent news I would have had no idea who Kony is. In fact, I actually googled who is Kony. I just watch the video and I have to say I am really moved. I plan to at least get the word around about Kony and April 20th. Because trust me, there are people who still have no idea. I think this is a prime example that one person's voice can be heard and that one person can make a difference. I'm not 100% sure what everybody's opinions are on this board, but I hope you all can seriously say you feel Kony should be stopped. Because nothing's funny about kids dying.

Not sure if I dislike this movement because its popular, or because the people who are running it are just dickheads looking for attention.

Or because it's an issue where raised awareness accomplishes nothing.
