We got a load of Ike—in Louisville. Its remnants collided with a cold front from the NW to produce sustained winds of 50mph, with gusts up to 90mph. That be officially hurricane force, boys and girls. City's wrecked; trees down everywhere, countless telephone poles snapped, rooves pulled off, etc. Were 300,000 people without power. No rain, though.
