...How do I fastforward recordings?

Post by Fippmam »

For example:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Armagetron Advanced\armagetronad.exe" --playback "C:\Users\iTerris93\Downloads\final_emoticons_vs_sp.aarec" --fastforward 1400

I got the command bits from the screenshots below. So what am I doing wrong? Whenever I try this, my regular tron client comes up, not even the recording client. Thanks :)

armagetronad --playback filename --fastforward SECONDS

So, looks like you've got that part down...

I'll take a stab; are you trying this in "Run"?

Windows 7. I just paste it on the textbox under the start menu that says "Search programs and files"

Oh dear. I don't have Win7 but I'm pretty sure that wont work. Instead, use the run command on the start menu (or press the Windows key+r) and paste what you have in there.

Wow that worked, thanks! I should also add that I decided to test the command with a different recording, and it worked, so I guess that ladle 31 file is corrupted or something.

Are you using 0.2.8.3.1 to play the recording?

Yes. And when I open the file without fast-forwarding, it just stalls at the master server list.
