Tronny Awards PM

Post by Concord »

for those who didn't get it:
Soul wrote:Hello everyone, [wildcat Concord dreadlord AI-team orion Pr3 ElmosWorld DaGarBBaGeMAN Nagi woof Renegade]

This message is for the 2013 Tronny Committee.

This year, orion and I have made a list of categories and nominations for the tronny awards. The list will be listed at the bottom of this post.

If there are any objections to the players for each category, please let me or orion know. We picked the best players for each category from THIS year. Remember, this isn't a popularity contest so try to be as least bias as possible.

As for how this process will work--

Once we all agree on the nominations, I will make a post sometime in December showing the nominations. During this time, you all will vote for one nominee per category and send your list to me. Orion and I will tally the results and post them.

If you wish to not be on this committee, please let us know.

Thanks.

I really wouldn't list Cookie as a rookie, he's been playing this game longer than I have

Ahh right, I forgot to exclude KS from the committee. Silly me.

Concord had to be the asshole he is I suppose. I hope you know people put a lot of time into organizing this, and there was no reason for you to do this. If you don't want to be a part of it, don't be.

But now that Concord did me the favor of posting the nominations, and with positive feedback from the other members, I will quote it into another topic! :D

And Gaz: Orion chose members from each clan for the committee

So what did I do that was so bad if you were going to post the nominations anyway?

If anything I saved you a bit of work. Which, considering the massive amounts of time you put into it… well, your welcome, I guess.

from all this, it seems pretty obvious you weren't planning on posting the nominations publicly. If you had planned on doing so, you would have found nothing wrong with my publication of them. You only published them now to cover your tracks. Pure PR move, and a remarkably poorly executed one at that. Couldn't resist taking a shot at me, it seems.

It's wrong that there's an arbitrarily chosen committee selecting winners from a list of arbitrarily chosen nominees, especially when the people making these arbitrary decisions decided to coronate themselves without any input from the community. If you insist on continuing to doing something so silly as giving yourselves awards, at least make it half-respectable and do it democratically and transparently. It's insulting otherwise.
