Here's a pretty old redhat post:
http://sources.redhat.com/ml/gdb/2002-12/msg00055.html
Don't know if this helps or not, but you might try dynamically linking to pthread and see what happens.

(and great distance) That's the hard part. Any idea how much a European box would cost these days? Just rented, possibly, or a...

Lets say the ones within his reach, cause even the devil his bound by the speed of light and other pestive nuisances.... ;) -ph Would love to, with the minor problem that AA is already beyond my...

Make sure DEDICATED_IDLE is set to 0 in settings.cfg to keep the server from exiting after it is idle for a while. It's set. Maybe there's another problem? Is there a log somewhere I can look at? edit: nevermind, I figured it out. ;) I still have a /etc/armagetron directory from when I had mandrake...

Hmmm, is it possible to connect in spectator mode so we can watch, and possibly heckle between rounds? ;) On another note, I just restarted the armagetronad server on my computer, apparently I need to fix some settings 'cause it keeps shutting down when players don't connect. ;( Anyways, for those o...

server side lag can't be solved by getting a better somputer, only a better server/more bandwidth for the server's connection. Respectfully disagree. ;) Server side lag can be caused by any of the following problems (and more that I haven't mentioned): 1. Bad scheduler. Running the server under Lin...

Don't know which is the problem, but have u tried switching to a raw console with CTRL+ALT+F1, login and do a killall -9 armagetronad? This way at least you will not have to reboot... I don't know if he's suffering this or not, but SDL does have a nasty habit of locking up X when it's running full ...

Mmm, I looked in there and didn't find quite what I was looking for. ;) I wound up copying some boilerplate init.d script for Mandrake 9.1 and adding the commands to it to make armagetronad work, with a pretty important caveat. Armagetronad, running in the --daemon mode, doesn't properly detach from...
